6/30/2023 0 Comments Strange the dreamer book 2Not going to lie though, it’s very slow, but it’s so good that it doesn’t even matter. That’s honestly all I can say without giving away spoilers because it’s such a complex story, with so many ins and outs. The leader is known as the Godslayer, for obvious reasons, and he is looking for a group of diverse people. And everything changes when a group of travelers appear in his city. Lazlo works as a librarian, so he has all the time in the world to research Weep. He has learned the language of this lost city, he knows pretty much everything of everything regarding Weep. But one boy, named Lazlo Strange, has always been obsessed and fascinated with this city. No one has heard anything of them, or what has happened to them. In this mysterious world, there once was a city named Weep. The first half of this review will be spoiler free! (I’ll warn when the spoilers are coming!) I can also say that Strange the Dreamer is the best fantasy novel I’ve read this year (sorry Caraval.) THIS WAS JUST SO GOOD! It was such a spectacular book that it was hard to review it. So far the best book I’ve read this year. This was him realm, and there were no limits here.” Sally Lloyd-Jones is a wonderful storyteller - she weaves words into a beautiful tapestry. What’s so great about The Jesus Storybook Bible?įirst of all, it’s beautifully written. Please see my full disclosure statement for more information. We’re pretty much the biggest JSB & Sally Lloyd-Jones fans out there! I’ve given it as a gift, used it to teach my preschool Sunday school class, and used it with my own children in our homeschool. Our family has now enjoyed a total of 3 copies (one is now in tatters!) as well as the wonderfully narrated audiobook version with David Suchet. These past 10 years have seen it translated into 31 languages, with over 2 million copies sold! It is also available in both audio and video formats, and even has a curriculum kit! This year, The Jesus Storybook Bible is celebrating its 10th anniversary. It was originally published the year my oldest was born, and I’m so glad that my children are a part of this generation of children who will grow up hearing the stories in God’s word told through Sally’s voice. It’s been a part of our family since my oldest was tiny, and her sisters are also growing up on these gentle, beautifully told Bible stories. It’s no secret that I love The Jesus Storybook Bible. |
